The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a high-performing data and analytics team.
This is a strategic and hands-on role focused on defining enterprise data architecture, data strategy, governance frameworks, and modern data platform capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the organisation's data vision, establishing architectural standards, and designing scalable data solutions that enable reporting, analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience across data architecture, data engineering, data governance, and modern cloud data platforms, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and design enterprise data architecture, data modelling standards, governance frameworks, and data capability roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain data strategies aligned to business objectives and technology direction.
- Design and govern modern data platforms, tools, standards, and operating models.
- Define and communicate future-state strategies for business intelligence, analytics, and data capabilities.
- Produce and maintain data solution architectures and data product designs through architecture governance and approval processes.
- Ensure data solutions are reusable, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Create and evolve data technology roadmaps that support changing business requirements.
- Define and improve data architecture standards, governance processes, and integration patterns.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and technology stakeholders on data strategy and direction.
- Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to support planning, estimation, dependency management, and solution delivery.
- Lead architecture workshops, work breakdown sessions, and solution design reviews.
- Drive alignment between data initiatives, enterprise architecture, and strategic business objectives.
- Support data product, data mesh, analytics, reporting, machine learning, and data-sharing initiatives across the organisation.
- Experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Solution Architecture.
- Strong experience designing enterprise data platforms, architectures, and data models.
- Expertise with Redshift, Teradata, Glue, Spark, and DBT.
- Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, Airflow, and Dagster.
- Knowledge of Data Mesh, Data Products, and Data Governance frameworks.
- Experience with data catalogues, metadata management, and governance tools.
- Understanding of machine learning, analytics, reporting, and data-intensive applications.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts, including Terraform.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, consulting, and communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Telecommunications industry experience highly regarded.

- Experience with cloud-native data platforms and enterprise-scale data transformation programs.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics platforms.
- Experience developing enterprise data governance and operating models.
