The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Tester / Subject Matter Expert to join a high-performing delivery team supporting critical financial markets and post-trade platforms.

This is a hands-on role focused on validating complex business processes across Securities Lending, Collateral Management, and Settlement operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure business requirements are accurately implemented, tested, and delivered.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Securities Lending and Collateral Management domain expertise, business testing experience, and a proven ability to validate end-to-end transaction flows, collateral lifecycle events, reconciliations, and operational processes within enterprise financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows related to Securities Lending and Loan Collateral Management.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, and delivery teams to clarify requirements and validate expected business outcomes.
• Participate in requirement workshops, solution reviews, and business process discussions.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive business test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Smoke Testing activities.
• Validate end-to-end Securities Lending transaction processing across multiple systems and interfaces.
• Test and validate collateral lifecycle processes including:
  • Collateral allocation
  • Margin calls
  • Collateral substitution
  • Collateral valuation
  • Settlement processing
• Perform reconciliation activities between upstream, downstream, and third-party systems.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using Jira, ALM, or similar defect management tools.
• Collaborate with development and support teams to investigate issues and drive defect resolution.
• Conduct business validation activities to ensure operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met.
• Support release activities, production verification, and post-implementation validation.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, status updates, and business sign-off documentation.
• Provide SME support to business users during UAT and implementation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across testing practices, business processes, and delivery frameworks.

What You'll Need

• Experience as a Business Tester, Business Analyst, SME, UAT Lead, or Test Analyst within financial services environments.
• Strong domain knowledge of Securities Lending, Loan Collateral Management (LCM), Capital Markets, Custody, or Post-Trade Operations.
• Experience analysing business requirements and translating them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Hands-on experience executing Functional Testing, SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Smoke Testing.
• Strong understanding of collateral management workflows and securities lending lifecycles.
• Experience validating collateral allocation, margin calls, collateral substitutions, collateral valuation, and settlement processing.
• Experience performing data reconciliation and end-to-end transaction validation.
• Strong defect management experience using Jira, HP ALM, or similar tools.
• Experience preparing test plans, test cases, test reports, and business sign-off documentation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work closely with business users, operations teams, and technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with collateral management platforms and securities finance systems.
• Knowledge of custody, settlements, clearing, and post-trade processing.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance-driven financial systems.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation or migration programs.
• Understanding of financial products, capital markets operations, and investment banking workflows.
• Exposure to automated testing tools and test management platforms.
• Experience supporting production releases and post-deployment validation activities.
• Knowledge of Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) processes and test governance frameworks.
