We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer – Salesforce Data Cloud, Databricks & Decisioning to join a high-performing data and analytics team.
This role is ideal for a Data Engineer with strong experience across Salesforce Data Cloud, Databricks, data integration, and customer data platforms. You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable data solutions that support customer insights, personalisation, decisioning, and enterprise analytics capabilities.
Working closely with architects, data engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern cloud-based data platforms and data-driven customer engagement initiatives.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer – Salesforce Data Cloud, Databricks & Decisioning to join a high-performing data and analytics team.
This role is ideal for a Data Engineer with strong experience across Salesforce Data Cloud, Databricks, data integration, and customer data platforms. You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable data solutions that support customer insights, personalisation, decisioning, and enterprise analytics capabilities.
Working closely with architects, data engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern cloud-based data platforms and data-driven customer engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage Salesforce Data Cloud Data Model Objects (DMOs), Data Stream Objects (DSOs), and source-to-model mappings.
- Design and implement data integration and data offload solutions between enterprise platforms.
- Configure Identity Resolution rules and unified customer profiles within Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Manage data onboarding, validation, attribute mapping, reconciliation, and technical documentation.
- Support deployments across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines within Databricks.
- Ingest, transform, and optimise data from CRM, digital, operational, and third-party data sources.
- Support cloud storage-based data offloads and enterprise data sharing requirements.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Support data requirements for real-time decisioning and personalisation platforms.
- Partner with analytics, customer engagement, and decisioning teams to deliver trusted and reliable data.
- Work collaboratively with DevOps, Architecture, Operations, and Delivery teams to ensure platform stability and scalability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support release activities, deployment processes, SIT, UAT, and production validation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across data engineering and customer data platforms.
What You'll Need
- Experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Analytics Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud including DMOs, DSOs, Data Streams, and Identity Resolution.
- Strong experience with Databricks and modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, and data lake architectures.
- Strong SQL and Python development skills.
- Experience integrating data from CRM, customer, digital, and enterprise platforms.
- Experience supporting release management, deployment activities, and environment promotion processes.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, transformation, and integration principles.
- Experience creating technical documentation, mappings, implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with Pega or other real-time decisioning and personalisation platforms is highly regarded.
- Experience with AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or similar cloud storage technologies is highly regarded.
- Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Airflow or equivalent tools is highly regarded.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, lineage, and compliance frameworks is highly regarded.
- Experience working within MarTech, Customer Data Platform (CDP), customer engagement, or personalisation environments is highly regarded.
- Exposure to large-scale digital transformation programs and Agile/SAFe delivery environments is highly regarded.
